I heart scones

Last year I started a blog with common sense recipes for regular people (over at Mahlzeit) I soon found that I was making scones more than any other single type of food. Hence the invention of "Sconeday"-- Mondays around here because that's my day off. To keep the scones from taking over Mahlzeit, I've moved them over here.

Some of the scones on this site are reposts or adaptations from other sites (always with acknowledgment and link) and some of them are my original recipes.

I was never a baker until this year-- I love to cook meals, but baking scared me. Now I'm baking scones. And bread. And crackers. And treats. It's easier than it sounds, and no one has refused to eat my sometimes unusual items yet.
